steady pulse

2015 is upon us and we've already got some great shows lined up for the first half of the month (click the flyers to RSVP).

Big Hush join Don Giovanni fuzz-rockers California X on Sunday, January 4 at the Rocketship, with support from local rockers Aloners and The Rememberables - this one's sure to get your new year into gear the right way.

On Sunday, January 11 at the Beehive, former DC resident Emperor X comes back to thaw your heart with his warming electrofolk after DC darlings Br'er put the freeze on with their frigid dark ambient pop. Baltimore surf punks Trunkweed and bedroom beat-master Sitcom round out the bill.

Swings, formerly known as Anchor 3, have been hitting the 4-track hard as of late and will be unleashed their new album Detergent Hymns c/o Quiet Year Records at their homecoming show on Friday, January 16 at the Commune. New York scuzz punks Soda Bomb and spazz rockers Colorful Kid join DC favorites Makeshift Shelters for this high energy show.

And those of you in the midwest will have a few chances to catch Pool Holograph! For more info on these dates, keep up with their facebook page.

But that's not all - expect more fun live events and the unveiling of the next DZ TAPES release later this month!
